JCH London completed a comprehensive commercial plant room installation for a residential building near Hyde Park in central London.
The project involved the decommissioning and removal of the existing plant, redundant pipework and flue system, followed by the installation of a complete new commercial heating and hot water system. A temporary boiler arrangement was maintained during the works to support continued hot water production while the new equipment was installed.
The new installation included four 99kW commercial boilers arranged in cascade, a hydraulic low-loss header, high-efficiency pumps, new heating pipework, valves and a commercial flue system. JCH London also installed water conditioning equipment, side-stream filtration, a pressurisation unit and expansion vessel, together with two 300-litre hot water calorifiers.
Additional works included a new boiler room ventilation system, cold-water storage tank and booster set, electrical supplies, controls and BMS integration. All new pipework was insulated and the complete system was dynamically flushed, treated, tested and commissioned.
This project demonstrates JCH London’s ability to manage complex commercial boiler installations and full plant room upgrades in occupied residential buildings across London, from initial strip-out and temporary services through to final commissioning and handover.
